Appliance HD

Appliance HD is unprofessional and a scam! Worst customer service ever! I will not recommend them to my worst enemy.

I called and made an Appointment for SAME DAY appliance service, which they agreed. They agreed to set-up the appointment under conditions that I provide them with my bank card info as proof of funds, which I did. Suddenly, after withdrawing the service charge from my account , within minutes, they send me a text message telling me that they don’t have technicians and that the appointment has been postponed by 6 days! 6 days! I cancelled the appointment and then they tell me it would take 3-5 days to get my service charge back. This is ridiculous and disappointing to no end. Do not work with this company! You have been warned.

Called last week to have my oven and furnace repaired. The furnace was slightly more important considering we just had a snow storm. Put a financial hold on our account right away said someone would be out in a couple of days. Sounded reasonable to me. I get a call from some lady in L.A. saying she had no technicians available for that day but she did have availability the next Monday, but she could cancel my call and wouldn’t charge me a fee for doing so. Gave her the benefit of the doubt no problem I’ll wait. Calls me again on Monday “I have no technicians available, but I can have somebody there Wednesday” I’m a little irritated but understanding again. Wednesday comes and the same lady waited until an hour before the appointment to let me know she didn’t have anybody that day either. They had no problem putting a hold on the money they wanted for checking things out but jerked me around for a week and a half over a technician showing up to get me heat. On the third call she was extremely rude blaming it all on COVID. The whole process was absolutely ridiculous. But thank god she was able to cancel my request without charging me a cancellation fee, that was her favor to me… thanks

ApplianceHD is serviced by a 3rd party. My repair guy showed up a day late reeking of cigarette smoke. He was here for 15 minutes, replaced a part and cleaned some coils. Total cost $448 + $75 service fee! Scam Scam Scam!

These guys had someone from Summerville Appliance Repair come over to fix the washer which I was told was not actually worth repairing. I was told I should use it until it stops working and that it might last 2 weeks or 2 months. In the meantime I spent $90 which was supposed to be the diagnostics and some labor to supposedly clean out my drain line. It felt rushed and kind’ ve too informal. I felt like I should have gotten a quote for the repair and I should’ve been the one to make that choice. I dunno why I was quoted less for the service but paid more for labor if I was gonna be better off replacing it anyway?!? Not sure if it’s the worst experience I ever had but I just felt like they’re not interested in hearing me…

On June 10 a technician came from HD Appliance right on time (though didnt call first). He also came w/o wearing a mask. Told me my LG refrigerator needed a new compressor. Diagnosis was taking the back off and touching the compressor which he said was hot. Put the back back on and told me he would order a new one. He requested $75.00. I said I was told it would be $70.00. He said well I charge $75.00. Forgetting the company took $70.00 out to send him out, I thought he was just making an extra $5.00. He said he would not cash the check until he did the repairs. (He cashed it right away). I guess I’m lucky Im only out $145.00. He also took the papers on my refrigerator to get the parts no. to order. He still has them. He said the part would be in in a week. After waiting longer than that I contacted him and he said it hadn’t come in yet. This went on and on and finally he said the post office “lost it”. He said he could order another one from a different company that would come in in a day or two but would cost $400 instead of $300. Next day he said that was wrong and would take a month.I was stunned and not believing his story. By now I’m w/o a refrigerator a month. I called HD and told them the story. They were sorry and customer service would call me in 24-48 hrs. This happened 3 time 48 hrs. each time. Then I called and said I want to talk to customer service. What do you want I can help you. Told her the story again. She said they would call me that day. This was already 3 or 4 in afternoon. You guessed it, they never called.

Friday I went to Lowes and ordered a new refrigerator. Of course it will take a week to come in and another week to deliver. What the heck, I’ve waited this long. I told them I didnt care if it was purple – I NEEDED a refrigerator! My fridge is supposed to come in from Dallas Aug. 1 and be delivered Aug. 6. Wish me luck.

And never ever call Appliance HD. Im reported them to BBB. also.

I contacted Appliance HD to repair my parents dishwasher. The technician, Stephen, came out on June 30 to diagnose the issue. The tech looked at the dishwasher, said it was repaired and asked for a check for $150. Since I placed the call, my parents call to see if the initial $70 charge was included as part of the $150. While on the phone with my mom, I heard Stephen in the background yelling at my dad and becoming belligerent. So much so that I almost had my parents call the police. To get the tech out of the house, they paid him $150. We were all very shook up and I called ApplianceHD immediately to file a complaint against Stephen.
Ashley, a manager, called back and left a message. I called back within minutes and she did not respond.

The next day when I spoke to my parents they informed me that the dishwasher did not work.

I reached out to Ashley and the main number again. Ashley never responded and the main help line cannot directly connect you to a manager. They send a ticket for a request to speak to a manager.

I called Ashley back, still no response. My parents or myself called ApplianceHD or Ashley everyday and we either received no response or were given the run around.
There was a guy Mark they were going to possibly send out but there was never follow up with that.

On July 7 they assigned to a new manager Pam who I did leave a message with. She did not return my call but when I phoned her on July 8 she did pick up. We had a discussion and she would call back in an hour. She never did. I called ApplianceHD again and the phone just rang.

Today, July 10 I was no longer calm in my request for repair. Even if they were going to come out and repair the dishwasher now I would not let them as I do not trust them to fix it or do more harm. We will not be doing any business with them again in the future and I will be sure to let everyone I know and every review site I can that no one should do business with them.

hello I am an ex-provider for Appliance HD which uses deceptive wording to collect $70 from customers, telling them ‘its for the diagnosis which is a lie, its a networking fee to contact me…the only diagnosis is in the job description that the customer types!

Here is the tech access wording:

how we work
Get 100% Free Appliance Repair Jobs

Stop buying worthless leads and competing to get a job. We book the job and schedule it – and you simply claim it. Once you claim the job – the client is yours! We collect the diagnosis fee from the customer and you get 100% of the repair fee. It’s that easy!

here is a blurb:
Fast Disptach ( yes they cannot spell)
Affordable Pricing – that means I have to negotiate with you, AFTER you pay $70
24/7 Customer Service yes- they are in Los Angelas, up late for the east coast

Immediate Troubleshooting – that means you tell me the issue and I look it up to see the best practice on YOU TUBE

All Service Parts Provided – “Provided’ is a vague word, Look, I have to buy the parts afer we meet and look, its logical. The parts store ‘provides’ to me for money and I ‘provide’ it you for money!

No Hiddens Fees – another typo, hidden really means we don’t know anything’ – because ALL the techs are independent! there is no WE in Appliance HD, just a couple ladies who talk fast, text you a lot and cannot spell.

Licensed & Insured Techs – Yes, true, I am and pay $955 a year for insurance, this give Appliance no liability if something goes wrong ,there is no license for appliance repair tho, so that is a lie.

I charge $65 an hour plus travel fee, so I quit and left because I was spending hours looking at the exact model number on YOU tube, and the customers ‘think’ I arrive with parts! NO and I would have to return a second time after parts are ordered.

So that’s $200 per visit for my time, plus $70 plus parts. I told ApplianceHD its vague but no response. >> try www.nextdoor.com for your own local handyman that your neighbors used. And stay AWAY from Appliance HD! www.appliancehd.com ALSO see the www.BBB.ORG there are 7 complaints against this firm.

Hi. I called applianceHD to come out and fix my samsung refridgerator. Website says same day service. We scheduled it for the same day. We did get a phone call that confirmed the tech to come out. Then the tech never showed we called and called but kept getting a voicemail when they say they are open for 24hrs 7 days a week. So when they never showed i called the next day to get a run around with everyone stating they cant come out for another 2 days. Now close to 200 dollars of food is spoiled when all they had to do was say they couldn’t come out the same day. They did say they would give back the 70 dollars that they took. I couldnt tell if they were foreigners or just ghetto people. I even got a lady named Ashley Miller. Yes you would think she speaks english but im not quite sure what she was or slow im not quite sure but ahe was very rude and even hung up on me. When i asked hey your same day service and never showed all she could do is say sorry. Really they have techs out today but cant fit us in when they never showed the night before. Horrible customer service. Oh and they have no contact info for corporate offices no emails nothing that i can complain to and when i asked ashley she said only a complaint department when i asked for that info she got rude and hung up. Please by aware do not use this people. THEY ARE A SCAM!

I contacted Appliance HD to repair the ice maker in my mother’s refrigerator. The technician, Isaac, came out on May 7 to diagnose the issue. My elderly mother was there to greet him and said that he was very nice and professional. Isaac told my mother that the ice maker needed a new part and that he would order it for her and have it shipped to her house. He also asked her to pay for the part up front. So she wrote him a check for $440. The part never arrived at the house.

On May 15, Isaac sent me a text saying that he had the part and would like to install it. I suggested he do so the following day, but I never heard back from him.

Over the next two weeks I attempted to call him several times but he never responded.

On May 26 I sent him a text. No response. I contacted Appliance HD who gave me an alternative phone number for his wife, Ashley. I left a voicemail but she did not return my call.

On June 3 I sent Isaac another text. This time he responded by saying that he is “on a job currently” and that he would call me. He never called.

On June 5 I sent Isaac another text. He responded by asking that I remind him of what job he was doing for me. I explained and he responded “Oh yes, I have your part I misplaced my invoice book and didn’t know which job it went to.” He asked when I was available to have it installed, and I responded either today or the following day would work. He did not respond.

On June 6 I sent Isaac a text asking him if he was coming tomorrow. He did not respond.

On June 7 I sent Isaac a text asking him if he was coming that day. He responded that “I can’t today I’m in Manhattan Kansas but I can be there tomorrow morning at 11 am firm.”

By 11:18 on June 8, Isaac had not arrived. I sent a text asking him “Are you coming today.” No response. I have not heard from Isaac since.

Since June 8, I have attempted to contact Appliance HD nearly every day. The operators take my call, ask me for my telephone number, and tell me that they are sending an email to management and to expect a call within 24 hours.

Today is June 14. I have not heard from Isaac or management.

Type of a scam Tech Support

I contacted ApplianceHD for appliance repairs after I found them through a google search. Supposedly they are a national provider for appliance repair. They told me there was a $60 trip charge for the technician to come to my home and they would provide an estimate for repair costs. They asked for a credit card number to cover the trip charge and told me it wouldn’t be charged until the service. No technician ever showed up and when I called them to follow up they hung up on me – twice. Now I’ll have to dispute the charge through my credit card company and my oven is still needs repaired. I’m angry that scammers like this exist trying to take advantage of people. DO NOT USE ApplianceHD – they are scammers.

Technician came to my house over 1hr late for the diagnosis and repair and then claimed $300 advance for parts and would come back to install them. Technician Izack Wincapaw took the check made out to him, cashed it and then never came back. Beware, this is a scam and don’t allow them to do this to you.
