Type of a scam Identity Theft
They post "free adoption" of a pet online through craigslist, but unfortunately state that they moved to a house in a distant state that doesn’t allow pets. They get you to pay for $300~ shipping only for their "baby" and tell you to take care of it.
The "shipping company" is fraudulent and run by Indian scammers, and they only accept payment through Moneygram. Also, they ask for your phone number, and other contact information for identity theft purposes.
