Charles – Oct 01, 2020

Location: 48146
Amount: $59.95
Scam: Online Purchase

I was moving and needed to make an address change, after going on line, I found USPS ADDRESS CHANGE I filled out all the information to make the address change and gave my card number, there was no amount showing so I went to my bank account and sat that I was charged $59.95. I then went back to the web site looking for contact information, and SURPRISE there was none. I too went to my bank to dispute and 3 months I am still sending additional information to the bank. In there letter my bank included a phone number. I am on hold with them right now.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I needed to change my address so I googled, "US postal service forwarding" and I clicked on what popped up first. The website looked real and it didn’t even phase me that it would be a scam. You need to put in your card info as it always is $1 to have mail forwarded. They ended up taking out $59.95 and I had to go to the actual real usps forwarding site to get mail actually forwarded. I went to my bank to dispute the charge and they did an "investigation" and came back and said they couldn’t over turn it because I "authorized it" , even though I did it unknowingly as I thought it was the correct site and didn’t know they were charging me $59.95. Unless it was in small print that I didn’t see.
