I received a phone call at home tonight. After a long pause, the voice simply said "hello". I paused myself before instinctively saying "yes". After another long pause, a recording started introducing himself as from the Fraternal Order of Police. That is when I immediately hung up. Only after that did I remember hearing about the "can you hear me?" scam. I thought that this may be related to that. I will be checking my statements to look for fraud, but I wanted to report this right away.

Caller from (480) 376-8263 – indicating he was from the "Fraternal Order of Police" – no city or county indicated. began to ask for support and donation. I do not do business over the phone – told him to send me literature and hung up (did not give my address). Went to block the number and noticed the number had called earlier in the week and left no message. SCAM!
