My mom and her husband were scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. They were lured on facebook by Alex Cernea and FX Returns Investor Forum in a forex investment scam. They received a couple of payouts after submitting smaller funds, and when they submitted a larger amount, they were told they needed to send an additional $50k in order to pay taxes and receive their payout. They sent the $50k, and never received the payout for the large sum they sent.
