Type of a scam Online Purchase

On July 13th I went onto the website for Great Pet Home and requested to purchase three puppies (one for myself and two for my mother). I received many pictures and communication via text message regarding purchasing the puppies. I paid $1,650.00 for the puppies and delivery. I paid through my Chase app via Zelle. I wasn’t sent any documentation on the puppies or a receipt. I have a screen shot of my payment. The puppies were supposed to be delivered on July 16, 2020 at 7:30 pm. I was contacted via email on July 16th about three hours before delivery by a company called City Express Delivery Service (413-251-9868)stating that the dogs needed pet insurance and were stuck in Albuquerque, NM. They demanded $1,050.00 via Zelle with the screenshot payment confirmation emailed to "[email protected]" and not a company email. The delivery service stated that 95 percent of the $1,050.00 would be refunded by cash or check upon delivery. The email was clearly a form email and didn’t identify the correct breed of puppies. I reached out to the seller after receiving the email and after several texts she replied to that i would have to pay and that money would be refunded. I explained I was not comfortable sending more money with no documentation or proof the puppies would be delivered or even exist at this point. She continued to say to pay even though our contract stated the seller would handle all shipping. I called the delivery company asking if I could obtain my own pet insurance through my insurance USAA which I was already planning on doing once the puppies arrived. I said I could get the insurance and provide certification. The deliver company continued to request the money as the only option. I asked for an address in Albuquerque, NM where I could pick up the puppies from both the seller and delivery company which no one would provide. As of today, July 17th I received two additional texts from the delivery company stating they are going to drop the puppies off at a rescue and press charges for abandonment and sue me. They are saying that the documents state I am the legal owner even though I have yet to sign anything or receive any documents or a deliverable. In addition, the seller has not responded to any additional text or calls and still has the puppies for sale on her website. My sister inquired through there website about purchasing one of the dogs that is supposedly in sitting Albuquerque, NM and was told the dog is available. She was also provided the same photos and exact same information via text. When she inquired about FaceTiming to see the dogs and asked very detailed questions the seller stopped responding all together. I have contact Chase Bank and they are putting a claim in with Zelle but it didn’t seem like they felt I would get my money back. Chase requested I contact you as they felt you had better resources to help. I have all the text messages from the seller and delivery company as well as the emails from the delivery company.
