Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I recieved a check in the mail in the amount of $1980.00. The letter with it said to cash the check and buy American Express gift cards and send the company screenshots of the cards and not to tell anyone that I am associated with the secret shopper program under any circumstances. I know this is an illegal scam and had I cashed the check I would be responsible for paying that money back while these people would have gotten away with the gift cards. This needs to be stopped immediately some people may not know better and cash the checks and buy the cards. This is sickening that they are getting away with scamming innocent people like this.
