I received a call today from an unfamiliar number but with a local area code (360.961.1175). A woman identified herself as Rose from Healthy Solutions. She said that I had completed a phone survey a year ago and was entered into a drawing. She said that I won and would received one of the following prizes: $500 grocery shopping spree, one of 2 vacation packages, or a mystery household item (equivalent in value to the other items). She said that she could schedule a time to have the prize delivered to my home and asked when would be a good time. She also said that they were listed with the ScamPulse.com. I asked if it could be mailed and she said no, it was too valuable and might get lost in the mail.

I asked for the name of the company again, their address, phone number, website, her last name and the name of her supervisor. She gave me her last name as "Crawford" but would only give her supervisor’s name as Cathy and refused to give me the supervisor’s last name. She said that she could not give me the address because they had confidential information in their office but gave a general description of "north Bellingham by the warehouses." I asked for a phone number and she said that she could not give that number out. I asked about a website and she said that they do not have website because their staff is not computer savvy.

I said that this did not sound legitimate and she again said that they were listed with the ScamPulse.com. I told her to call me back in 5 minutes after I checked it out. I did and saw a similar scam report from another area. And so far, she has not called me back. So it does appear to have been an attempt at a scam.

Earlier this year, they called me with a phone survey about allergies in the family. I don’t remember the exact date, it was at least a month prior to today.

Today, I received a follow-up saying I won a giveaway with a choice of vacation packages or $500 shopping spree. They asked for my address and a time to stop by, and said I would need to answer an additional survey question.
