On June 17 2016 I placed an add on craigslist looking for someone to do a window job on my house. Craig Loftus with Herca remodeling contacted me by email and set up a time to do an estimate. Craig Loftus and I met at my home and talked over the project. I hired Craig to complete the work and paid 50% upfront. He told me he would start the job later that week. After a few days went by Craig called me and told me that the lumber yard did not have the materials needed and that he would have to postpone 1 week. The next week the same thing happened only he told me that the lumber he ordered showed up but, it was the wrong kind. Craig contacted me the third week letting me know that the product is in and he would start Wednesday and be finished for sure by Saturday. Craig did not show up any of these days and would not return any emails, calls, and texts. Craig took my 50% payment and has not reached out to me to start the work. The check was cashed by Craig the day I paid him. I still have not received any contact from Craig for plans to re pay my money or complete the work. I researched Craig online after and found out that he has been doing this to multiple people all over Madison and for many years. He has multiple cases online of the same activity. Look out for other names as well. Craig’s company is not legitimate and has multiple names for different services such as drywall,tree services, and general labor.
