Type of a scam Employment
So upon finding a job on indeed this hollandmay company got ahold of me for a job. Wrapper at home for customers, so I applied wirh my name address and phone number. I was accepted for the job and told I would get a call. I missed the call but called back and the number seemed legit I got human resources and got cut off so called back when I had better reception and did my conversation. Still seemed fine thru all off that so then I got an email saying to sign some paperwork. The email took me to DOT sign to sign this paperwork and it asked me for a picture of my ID. It said I could cover up sensitive information which I didn’t pay attention to and only covered up the last four of my driver’s license number. After sending all that paperwork in a friend of mine told me about the ScamPulse.com and to look into the company. I tried searching for the company and couldn’t find it throughout my search but I found the scam tracker. So I looked in there underemployment and found several scams that sounded like this job opportunity. So then I sent an email to the human resource department that I’ve been talking through and told them that I did not need the job anymore and found a different job. The next morning when I woke up I had two emails from the human resource department congratulating me on my new employment with the company along with an email that was from the accounting department asking for my direct deposit information. They also sent my logins for the website to do my job. The funny part is now I know this is a legit scam because for payment option since I was skeptical I used paper check to my mailing address. I have sent another email telling them that I am not interested unemployment with them. They have sent me several more emails congratulating me to joining the company. I have not logged into the website or given any more information. I do question when I get the packages on whether to send them back or just turn them into the police in my area. I also wonder if they are able to do anything with my ID. I have ways to keep an eye out on my credit and Hope they don’t have enough information to try and ruin me. Lesson learned to anyone who uses a job search site be careful and if it sounds too good to be true don’t trust it. I have also saved the emails as well
