Type of a scam Credit Cards
I was trying to cancel my Hulu account and called Discover card to cancel it through them. A representative at Discover provided me with this phone number.
I called this phone number and the "representative" told me my account had been compromised and that I needed to get cash back from them. He told me that in order to get cash back I needed to get it in the form of an iTunes gift card. He said I needed to purchase a gift card and then give him the number on the gift card then he would add the balance to that card. He continued by asking how far is Walmart from me and that he would call me as I left Walmart after purchasing the gift card.
I told him to activate my Hulu account I did it at home. It had nothing to do with iTunes or Walmart. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said,"no." He then hung up he phone. I called the 1800 number back and no one would answer. I looked up Hulu customer service online and found a different phone number.
This is weird because I was provided this number from Discover. When I called Discover back and spoke to another representative I was given the right phone number. I believe the first Discover employee is working with the scammer.
