Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Be sure to enlarge the phone number you intend to dial when tracking a bonifide money order carrier’s phone contact. One mistaken number could lead you to give information intended for the right purpose in the wrong hands. The representative on the other end if fraudulent will ask questions you think could be verification for tracking the initial concern. But, when the person told me that there was a gift card to accommodate me, I was suspicious then. The connected call was distorted, and because many companies in America use outside sources like The Philippines, Mexico and India I accepted the noisiness and distortion from previous experiences. Even when I was asked for my phone number. I started getting antsy but when he asked me for my bank card number to deposit the $25.00 gift card that I never asked for or cared to receive I became livid! He then said let me put my supervisor on line, then the phone went dead. This is an innocent mistake that could have been costly in that final step. I just wanted to track a money order with the real company. I hope before money orders become obsolete that the phone number be more magnified for absolute and correct intentions of contact. One number off makes a difference. Heed the warning and let’s stop the scammers everywhere they are.
