Type of a scam Tax Collection
I had a message to call 585-633-1471. The message stated that I had 4 allegations pending against me and that I will be taken into custody by the local police if this was not resolved. I called back and the person by the name of *** ***, Badge ID *** was given. I asked who he was with and he stated the IRS Crime Investigative Unit and that this was regarding a tax fraud. He retrieved my mailing address (PO Box) and asked to verify and asked if I had been notified of this information. Explained no and asked me to write down an arrest warrant ID number. After writing the number down and asked if I had the number, the phone went silent.
