I was looking on Craigs List to buy a used motor home for my business Artist Edge – shear sharpening in the beauty industry. I am the business owner. I found a van, 2005 Roadtrek 190 Motor Home listed by Janice Vinson for $11,000 used. I contacted her and she contacted me via email afterwards sending me 10 photos inside and outside of the van. After I expressed interest, she sent me a link that directed me to the purchase on eBay. The transaction was set up through there, all of the services seemed legitimate on my part. She responded the van would be shipped and my bank, 3 Rivers Credit Union of Fort Wayne, Indiana approved my loan and wire transferred the money for me. She also sent me a legitimate eBay buyers protection plan with a shipping date of 6/20/2019 around 2:30-6:30p.m. I was able to call the seller on the day of to confirm it was on it’s way, once it never showed up, I called again and the number was disconnected. I then called eBay and they informed me the seller was not in their system and it was illegitimate. I lost $11,000 and filed a report with my local police station and the state FBI on the day after it happened. A month has passed and I have not received any update on what is being done.
