We hired Brad Jarvis from Jarvis n’ sons construction for carpentry work in May 2018. We had a signed written contract for the job, he requested 1/3 deposit of total price which was 850$. This was sent via etransfer at his request. He indicated a start date for the work but failed to show up. After contacting multiple times via text messaging, emails and telephone calls he would instruct a new start date and continued to fail to show up. We never got the work done as he never showed up, we requested our refund over the course of several months. He agreed to refund 500$ on November 9, 2018 and again failed our agreement and did not refund my deposit. The contract did not specify non-refundable deposit.
