Hello, my name is Sara and I was scammed last night by the following website and email. When I was thinking of getting a pitbull puppy, I looked on Google and as a first result, I clicked on jeffpitbullhomes.com. The site looks very reputable, it states they breed pitbulls and boxers and have all of these health guarantees. There was no doubt in my mind it was legit. However, until our communication about reserving the puppy started happening. This was the first email I received after expressing interest:

Thanks.

Then they went through the steps of how I would be receiving the puppy, asked for my address, email address, phone number, etc. They were going to set up the delivery for Saturday morning, tomorrow, and would notify me by 9 am the travel confirmation. They asked me to send money via Zelle, which was sent to the address: [email protected] I should have stopped right there and not have sent the money. However, I did and not I’m out of that money.

The following morning, this morning, I knew something wasn’t right. I tried to access the website and now the domain was down. I emailed them and sent a text with no response. I also tried to call with all of my calls failing to go through. I haven’t heard from them since I sent the money.

I looked up the website under petscams.com and there was the website with many people going through what I did.

Please don’t fall for this scam and let’s get this site shut down!

We found the most perfect Pitbull puppies for sale on jeffpitbullhhome.com. I emailed them about their puppies and received a quick response back with information about their puppies, facilities and specific information about the puppy specified. $500 for the puppy and $100 shipping for the puppy to be shipped directly to us from Durham, NC to Fort Worth, TX, with the puppy being promised the day after receiving the payment in full my Western Union. I spoke with the person on the phone, through texts and emails. They sent the Western Union wire transfer information to me via text and email. The Western Union clerk tried to persuade us not to send the wire and informed us that there were a lot of puppy scams going on. We called the person again before sending the money and asked for a physical address, which he immediately sent to me. We went ahead and wired the money. Afterwards we were feeling quite Leary and i texted the number again and asked him to FaceTime me with the puppy and he said he would in two hours and sent me information about the next steps and shipping steps for the next morning. Three hours passed and i did not receive a FaceTime call, so i called him again. He said he got off work late and couldn’t call me tonight, but that he would FaceTime call me at 7:00 a.m. the next morning. When i started asking specific questions about why he couldn’t call now and why in the morning, he hung up on me and has now blocked my number. We are out the $500 for the puppy, $100 shipping and $22 for the Western Union wire. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY!!!!!!!! IT IS A SCAM AND WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER!!!!!!!!!! The website was for jeffpitbullhome, but the person on the MoneyGram was Redmond Daugal… again, should have known better!!!! He had a very thick accent and was somewhat hard to understand. The number listed on website is a 984=444-4153, but the number I received the texts from was 908-899-2381. At one point during our conversations, he told me he was a Christian and would never steal money from people and always ends his messages with God Bless!
