Type of a scam Online Purchase
Inquired on a boxer puppy for sale. I called on the cell phone. He answered but asked that I text him my email address and he then sent me some emails. They asked for wire transfer up front of $700 then he would book puppy to ship via UNITED. I requested their address. They provided a fake address – 1320 E Main STreet, Richmond, VA . I told them my family would come by to drop the money but I wanted to have them checked out first. I asked for references. I haven’t heard anything since.
It sounds fishy. My kids really wanted this puppy but I was not comfortable wiring money.
