Type of a scam Credit Cards
When I answered the call, an automated voice asked me to press 1 if I wanted to get a lower rate on my credit card. I knew it was a scam right away, but pressed 1 to see what I could find out. I asked what card they were speaking of and kept me on the line while checking. He said it was a Chase business Visa (which I have never had). I asked what business (I am currently unemployed) and he said IATSE Executive. This is my local union where I am an Executive board member – info which is readily available online. When I told him I knew it was a scam and I was reporting him, he said, "I’m waiting for you." I said, "Waiting for me to what?" He replied, "To catch me!" and laughed. He had a Middle Eastern accent. when checking the phone number online it lead to the website I mentioned above, making it look legit. But the website looks like a scam, too. Thanks for anything you can do to end this scam.
