We were looking to adopt or purchase a labrador puppy from a labrador breeder. Came across https://magnificentlabradorhome.com/ and the site said they had available puppies. It also said the price for the purebred lab was only $600 and they offered to ship and deliver puppy. This was a red flag as we had been looking to adopt or purchase a lab from a breeder as we have purchased from a breeder before. We sent an inquiry about several puppies and immediately, someone responded with a generic scripted response. We exchanged a few emails and they said the puppy we wanted was available and the total price including purchase and home delivery was only $800. Another red flag as we had owned a purebred lab in the past and it cost us around $2000. They said can pickup locally in Georgia or have the puppy shipped, same day delivery, this was another red flag. I then asked for their phone number since they did not post on their website. Shortly, I received a call that I did not recognize from a Massachusetts area code, even though the breeder is supposed to be located in Atlanta, GA. I called them back and it was a Google voice number. I noticed the man on the other line had a heavy African accent with broken English. This was another red flag, so I asked questions such as why Massachusetts phone number? He responded that he relocated but had been in business breeding labradors for 14 years. I then asked him his name, he hesitantly said David Walters without any level of confidence, as if saying that name was new to him. My BS radar was peaked at this point. I then asked him if we could do a Face Time, Skype or Google Hangout or any type of video call so that we can see each other and just as important, see the puppy we were supposed to purchase. He immediately hung up the phone and did not respond to any of my emails asking why he hung up after I asked him to do video call. I then did further investigation and looked up the business on the state of Georgia’s website including looking up to see if that company was a licensed breeder in the state of Georgia and found nothing. Looks like someone else also reported this as a scam. Fortunately, we did not send them any money as I saw many signs pointing to a scam. I want to make sure no one else gets scammed by these unscrupulous individuals and I hope they get caught.

I was looking for a lab retriever puppy. Found this website that look extremely reputable. I picked a puppy and submitted a request for more information. They sent an email (with some grammar mistakes but nothing major), and asked about my profession and home. I provided that information, and they sent more additional photos and videos of the subject puppy. They provided a signed bill of sale for us to sign as well and provided a Zelle email address for us to submit payment to. They also offered for us to pick up the puppy in person, which reassured me this was legit. It wasn’t. We paid $600 (for the puppy) and $200 (for shipping). Now we are out a total of $800 and haven’t heard a word back from them since we sent the payment. Beware of this site.
