I got a call today from Medic Alert, Nelson Martin, 760-436-8791. I agreed and gave them my debit card number. I called Life Alert, and they told me I couldn’t cancel their service. So I called Medic Alert back, and couldn’t reach them. So I called the bank and canceled my debit card.

A couple of days ago, I received a phone call from a woman, she was offering me "medic alert". She did not have an accent. I think she used a spoofed phone number. I asked how she got the number that appeared in my caller ID, and she hung up.

A woman called and said she was from Medic Alert. She then "asked if I could hear her". I said yes I can hear you and don’t call me again but she had hung up.
I heard on the news that this was a scam. What do I do? I answered yes. How do I prevent anything negative from happening.

People are calling claiming Medic Alert . Its a recorded message that says " You have been referred by a family member or a friend . " Then the only option they give you is to press 1 to order your medic alert . I pressed 1 to challenge the call . A woman with a southern answered and then answered like it was Medic Alert , can I help you , can I take your order . Then when I told her what I was calling about , she very soon realized this would not be a sale and then she hung up on me .
