Received 2 telephone calls this morning from "Medicare Office" and then "Medicare Company"… the message is "ready to send us new Medicare cards, but need the numbers from our "old" Medicare cards to verify we are the correct people!" Interesting, they had our names and addresses and ages.
Different names/numbers appeared on our telephone screen.
We did not provide any information.

They keep calling me from this number, asking for Mr Ronald Rodriguez, myself, and they are Spanish speaking operators. Asking me if I already applied for medicare and they can help me.

The person called my cell phone and identified himself as an agent from Medicare. The purpose of the call was to tell me that Medicare was sending out back braces to all of their insured free of charge. The initial questions he asked were height and weight, and shirt size. The remainder of the questions were presented as trying to confirm the info that he supposedly already had. These questions were date of birth, mailing address, and did I have other insurance such as a supplement or advantage plan. Finally, he asked to confirm my Medicare number and I refused to give it to him along with my mailing address. As soon as I refused the information, the caller hung up.
