Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
This person calling themselves Michael Heller, contacted me via text message and said I would be a perfect fit at their company, KMS Technology, for one of three positions, all of them WORK FROM HOME. He told me that pay was $30/hr with training at $15/hr, with weekly or biweekly via check or direct deposit. It seemed amazing. They asked me questions about my work history, if I have a printer, and if I had check printing experience, which seemed odd. They asked which bank I was banking with. After answering the questions, they said they needed to forward my info to the head department. Then they came back and said I got the job. Then they asked for references and phone numbers, which I gave. Then they asked for personal info such as name, address, city, state, zip-code, cell# and email address, which I regret giving. Then they said that I would need a bunch of equipment and software for the job and that all expenses were handled by the company. They said I would be provided with a free laptop from the company. They said the funds for the software would be provided to me via check and I was to deposit it into my checking account and funds would be available next day and I would use those funds to purchase the equipment and software.. They said I would be getting paperwork during orientation from my training supervisor after I received the start up check. They advised me to be online in Telegram the next day for updates about the check and how to get started with work and training.
