Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Signed up to be a mystery shopper in southern New Mexico. Received a cashiers check with instructions on where to go and purchase items. The letter had the ScamPulse.com Logo on the letter head and the company logos for the shopping experience that was to be investigated. A 3 page letter was enclosed with instructions and what the companies were looking at in terms of courtesy, respect, location, cleanliness, etc. I deposited the cashiers check and the bank put 10 day hold on the check, then after 2 days my bank closed my checking and savings accounts without notice. I did not lose any money, because I was not going to do the assignment until the funds cleared.
