I wanted to buy a munchkin kitten on Munchkin City web site…the price 600.00 plus 200.00 delivery fee.. they insisted that I sent it by a cash app. Which I did…they sent shipping info, and tracking #…a foreign man that I could barely understand called and said that they needed to place the kitten in an airconditioned crate because there are storms in the area and cannot ship at this time..he explained that I should pay 1500.00 for crate, and I would receive 98% of that back…I said I would call him back…his number on my called ID., was listed as Chatham NJ. I called him back, said it wasn’t raining in Virginia, and the itinerary said the crate was listed as being in theain cabin and not the cargo…he him up on me..texted original contact and wrote them about it, and they have not returned my text…

I sent $500.00 to purchase a kitten that was supposed to be sent to me. I spoke to the person of the name of Maurice who reassured me I would receive the kitten. He wanted $800.00 I said I would not send in the rest until the cat was here. I sent him $500.00 after not getting information from him the following day I reached to him and asked him to send me my money back. After many attempts he never sent me the money. I sent the money through zelle and they gave a case open.

We went online and purchased a Munchkin kitten for $650. The kitten was being delivered by special carrier from Virginia. The delivery fee was $ 150. We paid $800 via Zelle. They would not accept payment by credit card or or PayPal. The kitten was scheduled for delivery this evening. Sad to say, it did not happen. We tried to contact the seller by text and email. No response. I spoke to some of my friends. There are many scams involving purchase of pets. Also, Zelle and Venmo have no fraud protection, so they are favored by scammers. I hope this helps.
