Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Received a check for $2950.00 was told to deposit it and funds would be good in a day. My fee for performing the Mystery Shopper Job is $450. I was to purchase eBay Gift Cards in demoniations of $100 to $1000 from Walmart..BestBuy…Target…Rite Aid…Walgreens. Gave me a list of what to report. I was then to take a pic of all Gift Cards…mind you they are to be scratched….and text a pic or email the card pics…..They gave me 3 days to complete this task to recieve another bonus check of $300.
I called the number on the letter and it does not go through. The bank on the check just says Silicon Vally Bank. The check looks legit, has the water marks on the back and heat sensitve mark on the front.
