Type of a scam Utility
A man identifying himself as James Turner at Nashville Electric Services called saying our services were due to be cut off today becasue our account was past due. He said a letter was sent out to us. I told him we never received a letter and our last bill did not indicate any past due issues. He then stated that NES was moving to a new payment system and that caused them to miss some customers payments. He said I would need to make a payment over the phone so he could cancel the technicians that were on their way out to cut off our electricity. When I told him I would not be making a payment over the phone he became very insistent our services were going to be cut off. I then hung up because I realized it was a scam.
