I was contacted at least thirty times today from different numbers with various area codes saying I had signed up for an insurance quote and asking me for information. I strongly suspect that these are automatically generated numbers used by the same business, National Insurance Enrollment Center. I suspect that first because each person I talked to was very unprofessional, not identifying themselves or the company from the beginning. Secondly, one of the calls I received came from a number listed as 000-000-0000. That’s insane. I repeatedly told the people I didn’t sign up for anything and to take my number off of the list. They continued to call all day over and over from just after 9 am to just after 5 pm. I tried blocking numbers. It made no difference. They just use another number. I haven’t signed up for anything anywhere in person, online, or over the phone, not so much as a discount card. I’m not sure how they got my information, but it’s very clear yo me that this isn’t a legitimate business.
