Type of a scam Debt Collections
I don’t know if it is a scam but it is very strange they won’t tell me who we supposedly owe money to…they threatened and used scare tactics…….they said they were going to turn it over to the state……I called my credit union and talked to them and they said not to pay anything until we knew for sure we owed the money….they also said our credit report showed no indication of the debt….so I don’t know what to do…it was from 10+ years ago and I asked several different times who the money was owed to…..and they said they couldn’t tell me so what do i do?
