Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
A man claiming to be Rodd Taylor claims to have processed our approval for a loan modification through the Federal Government and HARP program. Wanted us to send in $4800 in order to proceed with a loan modification from a 4.3% interest, into a 2% interest rate. Requested we sign the authorizing paperwork that NorthStar Finance sent to us and wanted us to send in our cashiers check payment overnight mail to the above address, which appears to be a virtual office for several businesses.
He sent the following link as ‘proof’ that the company was legitimate:

I called the phone number of the business at the above link and they are no long NorthStar financial, but are now Omni Star, they are a financial planning firm and no there is no one named Rodd Taylor and they don’t have any offices in CA.
