I received a call today on my personal cell phone. It was a robo-call, and the voice said, "Hi this is Joe – from the Customer Service Department. Can you hear me?"
The call was from (704) 769-9563 and the caller ID said it originated from Cherryville, NC
I did not answer and hung up immediately.
Is there anything I should do to help protect my identity? I read that many scammers who use this tactic may already have personal information they are trying to use. I would appreciate any advice you might have. Thank you.
