Nova Scotia Power

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

The scammer texted my phone with the message “Nova Scotia Power sent you funds due to an overbilling. See:

https://visioncentercancun.com/overbilling/electricity-check/”. When you click on the link, the website pulls up a fake interact deposit site which prompts you for all of your card information.

Type of a scam Utility

I received a text today supposedly from Nova Scotia Power (I do not live in NS so I am not a customer of NS Power). It said "Hi, Nova Scotia Power sent you your funds" then it had a link to click. I didn’t click the link on my phone, but checked the link on my PC. It took me right to a page that looked like a legitimate funds transfer site. I did nothing and decided to report it on this site. I figured that once someone clicks on their financial institution to accept the funds that maybe their bank information is stolen and the person never receives the funds promised. I truly believe this is a scam.
