Type of a scam Employment
I am an active duty solider transitioning out of the Army. When I was going through this process we learned about the VA and what they offer. Ebenefits was described to us and how it makes our lives easier and better as a Veteran. I had submitted my resume under the "Employment Center" and was told that our information gets put out to Veteran friendly companies and recruiters. I was victim of a scam for accepting a job opportunity that I pursued, being that they saw my profile on www.VA.Gov. I am ashamed, upset, and quite frankly disappointed in the VA. The one source I thought I could trust and be confident in them assisting me has failed me. Not only did they put my personal information in jeopardy this could have ruined my career. This needs to stop so we can prevent this from happening to other Veterans.
