Type of a scam Identity Theft
On December 9, 2015, the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission charged 2 fraudulent charges to my debit card.
As it posted to my online banking:
NYC LPEP LOC: LONG IS CITY NY $277.88
NYC LPEP TAXI LOC: LONG ISLAND CNY $411.42
These charges were linked to my debit card. I called the bank to cancel the card and they removed the charges.
Again, on December 10, 2015, the same charges appeared on my online banking. I again called the bank to remove these charges.
I have only been to NYC once about 40 years ago – these are fraudulent charges. I googled the above merchant info and found that many other people from all over the US are being charged fraudulent charges on their charge cards and/or debit cards.
I would like to have this company investigated for credit card fraud / identity theft
