I booked through Groupon parking near JFK airport for a trip that my family and I took. The picture on Groupon seemed like a legitimate business and you were directed to the company Queens discount parking website which also seemed professional. When we arrived at the location we were surprised that there wasn’t a lot. We were told the owner had multiple lots and the staff would park your vehicle elsewhere. We completed realistic paperwork where they would walk around your car and note any damages. They also had questions related to your inspection and registration being current. I later realized why this was important. When arrived at the establishment there were other people waiting for the shuttle for awhile and possibly missed their flights. We arrived back from our trip called for the shuttle and was met with rudeness and unprofessionalism for stating that we were quoted by the shuttle driver less of a wait time. I was told to take an Uber if I had a problem with time. The shuttle driver came with other people and could not fit our 7 plus luggage. Almost an hour later he arrived. We expected to have our vehicles waiting when we got to business. We waited 20 – 30 mins for my parents vehicle. When I called the cell number to inquire why it was taking so long for my car I was told rudely that the battery died on my new battery because the staff left something on. 45 mins later my vehicle is damaged the parts stolen etc. My husband and I told the driver/dispatcher who didn’t care. We had our children with us and out of nowhere this driver had back up 7 guys all of a sudden show up. I called the cops. When the cops arrived we were told they get calls like this all the time because it’s an illegal business. They park your car on the street. Most are ex cons and the cops can’t do anything about it. It’s a civil matter or court matter. By the time the cops arrived all the men including the driver/dispatcher had left. This was a horrible end to a nice trip. One would think Groupon would vet these businesses better.
