Type of a scam Government Grant
Received 3 calls yesterday each one stating they were calling from the US Treasury and that I was selected to receive $7500 grant from the gov’t because of my great credit history and no criminal record. I would not have to pay this back and only a few people had been chosen to get this. I knew right off it was a scam but on the first call I pretended to listen. All calls came in on a unavailable number and one just listed all zero’s on the caller ID. All 3 had accents, When I said this was a scam and I was recording call, the first call swore at me and hung up. The second just hung up and the third told Neto go ahead and report this to the police. I could get the money by giving my bank info for direct deposit, a Walmart card.
