Received a phone call, which came over my recorder, stating he was from the U.S. Treasury, name T. Markle, foreign accent, so not sure of name. If I didn’t call him at 224-330-3282, I would be committing a federal criminal offense and would have to go before a magistrate judge, or Grand Jury.

First call was from "Kevin Mason"; second call was on 9/23/2016 from "Dave Martin" who left phone # of 347-906-8624. I did not return either call as it is obviously a scam.

Received call on cell phone on July 15, 2016 at 5:09 pm. The computer generated voice said this is the final notice from the U. S. Treasury that there is a legal petition of a tax against me. I am to contact them immediately before it is sent to Federal Claims Court.

Hi, this message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Martin. I’m calling regarding an enforcement actions executed by us treasury needing you’re serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to a white initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand judge for a federal criminal offense. My number is 585 937 3305 I repeat 585 937 3305. I advise you to cooperate with us and helpers to help you. Thank you.

I was called supposedly by the U.S. Treasury twice! The numbers left for call back were 206-414-1133 on 02/23/16 by an officer Jones and from 206-249-7323 on 02/25/16! Both were recordings!

My son got a phone call on his cell phone from "Robert Matthews" at 702-377-9155 saying that he owes taxes from 2011. They said if he doesn’t pay $6,000 while he is on the phone with them, he will be arrested in 45 minutes. I took the phone and said I think you are scamming my son. He told me that he is not authorized to talk to me and that if he doesn’t pay they will "send the detectives" to arrest him. Then they hung up.

A voice message was left regarding an enforcement action being taken by the U.S. Treasury and failure to return the call or comply with the request was a federal criminal offense. This was the 2nd message of its type and the caller referred to this being my 2nd intentional failure to respond. The first name was hard to understand "Tarik"? Wilson and to return the call at 856-718-8908.
It is my understanding that the U.S. Treasury contacts via U.S. Postal Service – no notification of any issue has ever been received by me.
