Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I have a profile on a website called model mayhem and a gentleman by the name of Olivier Smith out of Canada contacted me about a billboard project stating that I had the face to promote a project that a company by the name of Global Link International hired them to complete. I would be paid 10,500 to do the shoot at no cost to me. After that I received checks in the mail one via USPS and a cashier’s check via FedEx both in the amounts of 9,700. I researched both companies listed on the check and also Austin Benito which is the name listed on the cashier’s check and saw that he has several scams. I wanted to make sure to post this so it will help any future scam recipients.
