I found information about Ultimate Cavalier King Charles Spaniels by searching the internet for this breed, puppies for sale. I reviewed their website and what was presented was vague but appeared to be legitimate – it pushed all of my buttons. I requested information about a specific puppy. The "seller/breeder" emailed me and provided additional information about their process and philosophy and asked questions about my situation – not personal questions but logical questions – was I a breeder, did I have a veterinarian, would the puppy be alone or have a companion, did I have other pets. I was not uncomfortable responding.
I expressed continued interest. They provided information about transportation and costs. They noted that the cost of transport would be included in the price they had attached to the puppy and provided the name of the transport company. I researched it on the internet and it appeared to be a legitimate business.
I was prepared to move forward with the purchase. They asked that payment be made through Walmart – Walmart to Walmart as a money gram to Markelian Rhylie, Saginaw, MI. I responded that I was not able to send payment for several days and their response relayed a sense of urgency. They suggested that I send the money via CVS or a post office if I was not able to get to a Walmart. I responded that I would not be able to do so and have not heard back from them. I found no information regarding the name involved and noted above in the Saginaw area.
I haven’t lost anything, I didn’t move forward because of all of the flags that went up. But it is clear to me now that this is a scam. I found information regarded a similar scam that confirmed what was happening – "Premier Cavalier Kennel" in Clawson, MI. I hope this is helpful to others who may use the internet to find puppies.
