Received in the mail a green paper with information about "Immediate Response to this letter is requested" and it was to purchase a "Vehicle Service Contract for an extended factory warranty" for a new vehicle. There was no contact/address information on letter, including no letterhead. Called the phone number and spoke to Helen who put me in contact with the Authorization manager Chaz. Helen quoted me a price $3495 and talked to me about the pricing. When I explained that I was on a fixed income and couldn’t afford it, she put me in touch with Chaz who offered to reduce the fee to $3100 as we’re senior citizens. I told him that we couldn’t do that and he offered to make a payment of $795 and then monthly payments of $312. I told him I’d talk to my husband and call him back. He offered to give me another discount because my husband was a senior as well, so that would make the down payment $199 and bring the monthly payment down to $182 for 20 months. I told him I wanted to discuss it with my husband and he didn’t want me to hang up. I told him I’m sorry we can’t do this, and he said he hoped we had good luck with our car.

I then checked with the documents I received from the car dealership and the pricing was different by over $1000 more for his company and I was not pressured in to doing it immediately at the car dealership.
