Type of a scam Charity
Individual going door to door asking for money to send care packages to deployed military members. The individual had laminated flyers with pictures of care packages and military members showing the care packages. I wrote a check to the company and then looked it up after he left. I was given a receipt that seemed legitimate but called the contact number on the receipt but a computer answered the phone and eventually forwarded the call to leave a message for a Robert Wilson. This name is linked to the company as a known scam. I did lose $29 to cancel the check.
