Type of a scam Online Purchase

My brother wanted a Nintendo Switch so I went on Craigslist to see if I could get a deal that didn’t seem like a scam. I found a listing in Addison, Texas for a switch that was listed at $250. It came with preloaded games, the switch, the doc, the controller, and a case all in reasonable condition. I texted the seller and he said that he was in Phoenix instead with his sister. To make sure it wasn’t a scam, I asked for other pictures and for him to play a game. I asked him initially how mush shipping would cost and he said it would be $15. So, I paid the initial price and the shipping. Then, he texted me saying shipping is $75. To me, this sounded true because I have seen eBay listings with shipping costs of $60 just from California. So, I paid him that amount as well. Then, a few days past and he said that he got into a car wreck and needed $100. That is when I said no. I asked if I could just wait it out so he can get the money he needs to ship me out the item. I initially gave him a month to get his act together because I know we are in difficult times. Two weeks pass and I decide to give him a call, he told me that he bought a new switch and that I would need tot pay $50. I said no and said I wanted my money back. I also asked him why is he able to buy a new switch and not able to send me the one I initially thought I was getting. When I asked again if I was going to get my money back, he hung up. I continued to call him until he answered again. He picked up the phone again and I asked him the same question. He said I don’t know. I asked for just a time estimate and he wouldn’t answer me. He said he was tired and wants to go to bed so I let him because he wasn’t answering the questions I was asking him anyways. To present day, I plan to call him again and at least try and get my money back.
