I inquired on google a website to purchase a new Corgi puppy. The inquiry through google brought up
www.uptowncorgies.com as one one of the top results. I looked at their website up and down and even
checked the testimonials section, contact info, etc. I applied directly through this website to be
contacted to inquire further. The very next day I was sent an email on the puppy I was interested in and
was text by the following number, 862-208-4585. I text back asking who this was and I was told I could
refer to the individual as Murphy. I ask a few more questions about the process and I get sent an email
of the puppies profile and what the pricing included and that the puppy of my choice was available right
away and that free shipping was available. I inquired further answering the email using my yahoo email.
Next I was asked to provide background info on myself like family size, neighborhood description, and
other general things, which I did. Then I get a text and follow up email from Devon Jarvis James.
Requesting I pay the puppy’s price tag of $550 dollars via Western Union to get the
transaction going. So
I do and I use the Apple Pay option which was part of the “available in minutes” choices as requested by
Jarvis. The tracking information for the WU transfer is ***. It required Devon’s address so he
made that information available to me and told me to fill in the address portion with 522 Purce St
Hillside, NJ 07205. I have the confirmation emails of the transaction going through and the confirmation
info of the [censored] *** picking up the money from a WU in the area of his area code. He then emails me a
purchase agreement with his signatures and informs me that I need to sign it as well. So I did and sent it
back to Devon via email. On this purchase agreement is stating a refund clause for me the purchaser.
Also about signing this document I agree to return the puppy to them if for whatever reason I can’t take
care of the pup. Once Devon receives the emailed signed purchase agreement he says we can now move
on to shipping and stated the puppy would be delivered today, 8/23/2019, from his shipping company.
Well today waiting and waiting all day for the flight details my puppy I purchased was going to be
arriving on. Throughout the day I check in with the Devon on the status on everything and then around
2pm i get an email from Express Shipping. This email looks fake and yet has all the following information
about the transport of this puppy:

As you can see it states the shipping company needs this payment in order to proceed. At this point I am
getting text messages from Harley from the 612-444-8196 phone number requesting I make the
payment to get the pup on the next flight the company has scheduled. So I do via Western Union once
again. This man known as Harley is requesting I use a debit card which I decline and tell him that the
Apple Pay option requires his full address in order to go through. Harley is reluctant to do so. So I then
text Devon to advise him of the situation and to get the shipping guy to forward me his full address so I
can process the transaction. I finally get Harvey to send me the full address which is 18 Charles St Apr 4
Jersey City, NJ 07307. The transaction goes through I send him confirmation and the I am told the details
of the flight will be sent to me momentarily. I call the gentleman Harley and ask him why doesn’t he
have all the info already I handled my part he said he would have it shortly and hurried off the phone.
Both these gentleman had Jamaican or Haitian accents. In the meantime I am sending all the flight info
to my wife and she starts really getting suspicious. She asks me to inquire about a current photo of the
pup I thought I purchased. So i text Devon first asking for a current photo. He dances around the
question saying the pup is already at the airport and to ask Harley. I ask Harley for a picture. He says the
Devon should’ve sent it to me. I call Harley asking him what is taking so long and he just kept saying that
he was trying to get everything done and to let him do so by getting off the phone. I text Devon and tell
him that I am starting to get suspicious and I flat asked him am I getting scammed?! Devon gets
defensive and starts saying why would I say that. Then starts regurgitating info from the profile of the
website stating that he has 20 years in breeding experience. I told him then what is taking so long and
why cant either him or Harley give me any updated photos with the date etc. Devon starts deflecting
and dancing around my interrogation. I tell him that the shipping company is fake and as his defense to
that question is to send the following web address, http://expresshippinglogistic.com/. I click on it and it
doesn’t even match the email address Harley sent me. Devon and I are going back and forth now and he
tells me that this is the same company with nothing to back it. He also claims that a tracking number for
the puppy will be sent to me shortly. I keep pushing the issue and and I call HARLEY in between
demanding more information like this so called tracking number. Harley tells me give me another hr or
so and not 5 minutes later the payment i submitted via western union to Harley was confirmed picked
up by email notification. I go back to Devon and tell him that the shipping money I sent was just picked
up and how this is all starting to be a real problem. He takes offense and tells me that I am too much
hassle for him. That he should just refund me and go pick up the puppy from Harley. I tell him yes please
do. He then emails me a tracking number and says I should be good now. I go to my email and find link,
admin/. It takes me to the website with the tracking info section. I place the tracking number given to
me by Devon’s email, AWB086076204530. After I type in the tracking number i get the following

It’s at this point I start questioning the suspects and they both start back pedaling on everything. They said everything is good after I paid an additional $475 to them for the “Vaccines” that were supposed to be update already as stated on the website. Complete copy cat of other puppy scams. I told Devon I am not paying that you need to pay that to which he said he can’t. If I don’t pay it then I don’t get the puppy. I called him out on everything again and Devon started deflecting saying I am being a headache and this is too much. I advise that I will report him and he makes threats that he will sue me and all this crap. I start texting him photos of the fraud reports I filed and thats when all communication stopped. Devon would not answer my calls or text messages. I am sure I am blocked now from the 862 number.
