Type of a scam Employment
I was contacted yesterday on 06/09/20 about a job interview for a maintenance position at this company and told to bring my SS card and $150 for OSHA certification training. That didn’t sound right to me, so I googled it and found that the employer is supposed to pay for the training. I then decided to google the company name, and found two different addresses that were not the one I was given. I then found an article about another man who was subjected to the exact same scam, same address and building and same requirement of $150 for OSHA training. That’s when I knew it was fraudulent, and I didn’t go to the interview.
Luckily I did not fall victim to this, but I almost did, and I’m reporting this because it’s gross to take advantage of people desperate for work like this.
