Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
Received a call and an automated message came on saying, “Urgent Update: Since Trump got in office, he enacted a law under code 27709A for student loan debt relief and you can lessen your loan debt by 75% or receive lower payments or they can be forgiven altogether and to press 1 to talk to a student loan specialist or press 9 to get off their call list. I hung up because I know this was a scam because I have received the same exact call multiple times the past couple of months from different phone numbers and area codes. They probably would have tried to take money from me if I did press 1 or 9 and move forward with the call.
