Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
The representative from this company called regarding an old payday loan. He stated that I owed $642.92 but could settle for $398.00. I agreed to the payment and proceeded to ask for the company information. After asking both the billing representative and the original representative that called me, they became irate and refused to supply the company information. The billing representative stated the company name is URL Services and the representative stated that the company name is URM and Associates. I googled both names and the phone number and no information was provided. They become more and more irate and stated that they will see me in court. If the company was legitimate, they could have just provided me the company information and it would have been paid. I just wanted to know who I was paying so that the issue would not arise again.
