Call received from 817-533-9843 from a recording in a male voice indicating US Dept of Treasury call about requirement of appearing in magistrate court or before judge for a violation of unspecified nature. Caller indicated hanging up or ignoring of the call would result in criminal charges, etc. Caller proceeded with instructions to either: "press 1" to talk to/find out charges or "press 2" to be brought up on charges for the violation or so. I held the line until the caller ended the call. I called the number back and a female with Indian-like accent received the call and proceeded to ask if I was called on the number I was using, then asked that I verify my first and last name so she could look me up. I declined and I asked what names she had under this phone number and she stated my last name. She then proceeded to ask my first name and at that point I disconnected.

Phone call on June 6, 2016 at approximately 10:00 a.m., claiming to be from the US Dept of Treasury, Legal Affairs. Spoke to a Steve Martin, Mike Phillips, and Robert Matthews. All three had foreign accents. Claimed my 2013 taxes were calculated incorrectly, either intentional or unintentional, and I owed a total of $6,930 (including late charges and interest). Also advised me that 2 notices were filed with my accountant regarding this matter; however, they were unable to tell me who the notices were sent to. Advised me that if this matter was not taken care of, a warrant would be issued for my arrest.

An individual by the name of Travis Carter called me three (3) times on 3/3/16, claiming to work for the US Dept. of Justice and demanding that I pay him to avoid having to testify and be arrested. He was yelling, and very aggressive. I was at work while he called and my caller ID stated that he was calling from Maryland. I attempted to talk, ask questions, but he did not let me get very far. He yelled and asked me to NOT call him again because I asked him if he was willing to speak to my lawyer. He was the one who called me. This is harassment and has made me very uncomfortable. Please help.
