Type of a scam Phishing
I received a phone call today on my cell phone from a number in New Britain CT claiming to be US Electric stating they had a fraud attach last night and wanted to make sure the order they received this morning was really from me. He had my name and number and gave me last four of a credit card claiming to be mine. He was asking if it belonged to me. I told him I didn’t know as I was driving but I would check later and alert my bank if necessary. He asked if he should cancel the order. I said yes. I never gave him information. When I contacted my bank, they had not seen anything hit my card, and the number the guy gave me was not my bank card or my credit card number. I think this was a Phishing attempt.
