Type of a scam Travel/Vacations

This fake company contacted us stating they were Marriott. We have been timeshare owners with Marriott for 20 years. Marriott often called us for specials, so we thought it was the them. We purchased a couple of weeks, with our AMX card. He told us it would show up on our account in pesos. I instantly told them to CANCEL. At that point I knew it was a fraud.

To late. We were already charged. I have called and left 8 messages to have them call me. Now when I call, they disconnect.

For verification they said they have a copy of my drivers license. Please notice, the page is blank except for a typed in name – KATHERINE ***. The CORRECT spelling is KATHRYN. It’s signed by a Dana Will. They DO NOT have my drivers lience number.

I have no idea what the 2nd page is because I can’t read ANYTHING on it. It’s in Spanish! This was provided by AmericanExpress. We paid and lost $1,395.13
