Type of a scam Employment
An email with a part time job offer was forwarded to me by a friend on LinkedIn. I thought it looked legit doing secret shopper for Wal Mart and signed up. A few weeks later got a FedEx enveloped with an assignment letter and a check for $2k. I was to buy pre-paid debit cards and forward the number to an e-mail address. And create an assessment of my shopping experience.
It looks too suspicious and the check they sent was from a company in California that should have nothing to do with this type of assignment. So I know it is not legitimate and will not be stupid enough to try and deposit this is my account.
