Type of a scam Employment
I received a letter that appeared to have come from Walmart INC., but the internet site was under www.cogroupevaluate.com. Another site listed were, [email protected] and offering an employment opportunity that seemed too good to be true. Of course, it was. Included with the letter was a check for $!,892.65. Supposedly, I was to deposit the check into my checking account, keep $350.00 as my salary for two separate jobs that I was to follow through with, using the rest of the money from the check for expenses needed for the two jobs. They were secret shopper opportunities and I was suppose to be a able to keep anything I bought with the money they had given me.
Well, when I got to the bank, the teller explained to me that this was a scam and she could not accept the check.
